NBC averaged 2 million viewers for Sunday's final round of the Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club, marking a significant increase from the 1.37 million viewers who watched the network's coverage in 2024. The ratings boost came as the United States mounted the largest final-round comeback in Presidents Cup history, overcoming a 10.5-7.5 deficit entering Sunday to win 17-13.

The American team earned 9.5 of the 12 points available in Sunday's singles matches to complete their dramatic turnaround. President Donald Trump served as honorary chairman and was in attendance for the trophy ceremony Sunday evening, adding to the event's profile.

Despite the 2026 increase, Presidents Cup viewership remains below pre-pandemic levels from earlier in the decade. The 2017 edition at Liberty National drew 2.3 million viewers, while the 2013 event at Muirfield Village attracted 2.7 million viewers for final round coverage.

Golf Channel's early-round coverage also saw gains, averaging 743,000 viewers across 12 hours of live coverage from Thursday through Saturday, up 32% compared to 2024. Thursday's opening round on Golf Channel averaged 798,000 viewers, marking a 58% increase and making it the most-watched Presidents Cup first round since 2017.
