Scott McCarron keeps playing while being treated for lymphoma.

McCarron shot 10-over 80 in the first round of the Kaulig Companies Championship at Firestone while continuing treatment for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. He said playing gives him a useful distraction from cancer.

McCarron was diagnosed March 23 and has completed three rounds of chemotherapy. He is scheduled to begin 10 rounds of radiation over two weeks in 11 days.
