Neal Shipley and Ben Silverman are building shorter full-size drivers for control.

Shipley tested a 460cc Ping G440 Max driver head at the Valspar Championship with 12 degrees of loft and a 43-inch shaft, matching a typical 3-wood length. He uses it as a straighter option for tight tee shots.

Silverman uses a similar dual-driver setup with an older Ping G410 head set at 12 degrees and a cut-down Accra TourZ RPG 400 Series shaft. The builds keep full driver forgiveness while giving players a shorter tee club.
