A PGA Tour professional has withdrawn from this week's Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort. The player was previously known for hitting a shot near an alligator during a tournament.

The withdrawal was announced Friday as the second round began at the Utah venue. No specific reason was given for the player's departure from the field.

The tournament continues with the remaining field competing for the $6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points at Tom Weiskopf's final course design.
