U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker blamed himself for his team's struggles after the Americans fell behind 10.5-7.5 heading into Sunday's singles matches at the Presidents Cup.
The captain defended his controversial decision to sit world number one Scottie Scheffler during Saturday afternoon's foursomes session, explaining he wanted Scheffler rested for what he expects will be a critical singles match against Nico Echavarria.
Despite his self-criticism, Snedeker praised his players' effort and emphasized the team remains united, saying the guys have done everything he has asked of them and will fight and claw in Sunday's decisive session.
