Jay Leng wins the Western Amateur with a 5-and-4 victory.

Leng defeated world No. 1 junior Miles Russell in Sunday's semifinal before beating Michael Riebe in the championship match at Beverly Country Club in Illinois. Weather had postponed both matches from Saturday.

The 20-year-old Stanford junior became the school's fifth Western Amateur champion after entering match play as the fifth seed.
