University of Michigan Golf Course will use temporary greens while damaged collars are replaced.

The course plans to close three or four greens at a time over the next several weeks and install temporary targets in the fairways. Crews will replace every green collar after unusual discoloration appeared earlier in July.

The putting surfaces remain under observation and appear capable of recovering. University police are continuing an investigation after the course previously raised the possibility of deliberate damage.
