David Duval plans to play at St Andrews in 2027 after missing The Open cut.

Duval followed two opening birdies with a second-round 77 and finished 10 over at Royal Birkdale. The 2001 champion said he also intends to return to Royal Lytham, where he won, in 2028.

The 54-year-old said his preferred farewell would come at St Andrews in 2032, when he expects to be 60 and nearing the end of his Open eligibility.
