Ben Kohles loses John Deere chance with a water ball and short miss on 18.

Kohles reached the final hole with a chance at his first PGA Tour title, but he pulled his approach into the water at TPC Deere Run. He then missed a long bogey putt that would have forced a playoff.

A missed putt from inside three feet left him tied for third rather than second. He earned $466,400, after a runner-up finish would have guaranteed at least $959,200.
