Poulter is playing his first senior major at the U.S. Senior Open after turning 50 and was in the top 10 at 1 under. He said competing again with former Ryder Cup teammates has brought back years of shared rounds and memories.
He also said the senior field remains difficult, noting that players such as Miguel Angel Jimenez and Darren Clarke are still competing strongly after long careers.
