Aaron Wise says time away helped him return with a calmer mindset.

Wise shot a 4-under 67 in the third round of the John Deere Classic and will start Sunday five strokes behind the leaders at TPC Deere Run.

Wise has played sparingly since withdrawing from the 2023 Masters for mental health reasons. He said playing had become harmful, but he now feels calmer and better equipped to handle tournament stress.
