Aaron Wise says his PGA Tour break helped him return with a better mindset.

Wise shot a 4-under 67 in the third round of the John Deere Classic and will start Sunday five strokes off the lead. He said playing had become harmful before he stepped away to focus on his mental health.

Wise withdrew from the 2023 Masters and played sparingly afterward. This week marks his seventh PGA Tour start of 2026 and his first made cut of the season.
