Lucas Glover says the PGA Tour's 2028 event split limits player choice but protects sponsors.

Glover said he would prefer the option to play select lower-tier events under the PGA Tour's planned 2028 structure, but he acknowledged the restriction makes commercial sense because sponsors will be asked to support different purse and points levels.

The comments came after Glover opened the John Deere Classic with a 63 at TPC Deere Run. He said he would choose some familiar events with fewer points and less money if he thought they gave him a better chance to win.
