Davis Love III says the PGA Tour's 2028 split can still change.

Love said at Scioto Country Club that the Tour's planned two-tier structure may be adjusted after it starts, comparing it to earlier revisions of the FedEx Cup. Brian Rolapp's plan would create a Championship Series with about 120-player fields and a Challenger Series with 144-player fields.

Players at the U.S. Senior Open supported cuts at every event and a stronger merit-based system. The plan also includes promotion from the Challenger Series and relegation from the Championship Series after each season.
