Wyndham Clark called out fans at the Presidents Cup to be louder and provide more support for the United States team after describing the atmosphere as lackluster during the opening day at Medinah Country Club. Despite winning his Thursday four-ball match alongside partner Collin Morikawa, Clark expressed disappointment with the crowd energy throughout the day.

Clark characterized the fan atmosphere as dead and highlighted specific moments where the crowd's muted response was particularly noticeable. He pointed to a 5-wood shot by Morikawa on the 11th hole that landed within 10 feet of the pin, yet received virtually no reaction from the gallery. Even when the American pair made significant putts, the crowd response remained subdued.

The United States team secured a 3-2 lead over the International team after the first day despite the quieter atmosphere. U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker agreed with Clark's assessment but expressed faith in the Chicago-area fans, acknowledging that while the first tee was loud, the energy dissipated as the day progressed.
