Alejandro Tosti's caddie Cliff Ellis quit mid-round during the Biltmore Championship opening round.

Ellis dropped Tosti's bag in the middle of the 18th fairway after a disagreement and walked away without telling the player. Tosti thought Ellis had gone to a restroom and finished his round with a fan from the crowd carrying his bag.

Tosti shot 72 in the first round and returned Friday with new caddie Patrick Talledo for the second round.
