Immelman said criticism of the event's competitiveness irritates him because International players value the competition and want to beat the United States. The International team has recorded one victory and one tie since 1994.
The former International captain will assist Geoff Ogilvy at Medinah from September 24-27. Immelman played in the event in 2005 and 2007 and captained the losing 2022 team.
