Casandra Alexander opens a four-shot lead at the Women's Irish Open.

Alexander made nine birdies without a bogey for a nine-under 63 at the K Club. Jana Melichova, Ana Dawson, Alessandra Fanali and Lily May Humphreys shared second place at five under.

Leona Maguire opened with a one-under 71, eight strokes behind Alexander. Aine Donegan led the 16 Irish players after four birdies in a three-under 69.
