Adam carded a nine-under 63 at Great Northern, breaking the course record Antoine Rozner had set with a 64 only hours earlier. Adam and Rozner shared the lead entering Saturday's third round.
The 23-year-old Scot could collect a $30,000 prize if his record stands through the tournament. Adam began the week 125th in the Race to Dubai rankings.
