Memphis will lose its FedEx Cup playoff status under the PGA Tour's 2028 format.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship is not being considered for the top-level Championship Series in 2028. Memphis could instead host a second-tier Challenger Series event at TPC Southwind or another area course.

TPC Southwind will host the 70-player playoff opener next week and again in 2027. The PGA Tour said it remains in discussions with FedEx about their partnership after that season.
