Woods improved from an opening 75 with a two-under 70 at Fields Ranch West, reaching one over and a tie for 46th after two rounds. He made three birdies and one bogey.

Kailer Stone leads the boys division at nine under, one stroke ahead of Theodore Snyder. Alexa Takai leads the girls division by two shots after a second-round 66.
