U.S. House passes permanent daylight saving bill with potential benefits for golf.

The House approved the Sunshine Protection Act by a 308-117 vote on July 14. The bill would end seasonal clock changes and must still pass the Senate before reaching the president.

Golf course owners say permanent evening daylight could create 23 million additional rounds and about $1 billion in annual direct revenue across the industry.
