The short course opens August 1 in Sanford, North Carolina, with holes ranging from 40 to 105 yards. Its synthetic-turf design preserved trees and eliminated the need for irrigation.
The six-month construction project incorporated land shaped during Tobacco Road's original development. Several holes play around or across a pond near the full-length course's 12th and 13th holes.
