Ernie Els' redesigned Portugal course will host a PGA Tour Champions event.

The Els Club Vilamoura will stage a PGA Tour Champions tournament next year, bringing the circuit to Europe for the first time. Els redesigned the former Dom Pedro Victoria course, originally created by Arnold Palmer.

The renovation retained much of one nine's original corridor while reversing and extensively reworking the other nine. The property now operates as the Algarve's first private golf club.
