Koivun made two eagles and four birdies in a tournament-record back-nine 28 at TPC Twin Cities. His 10-under third round moved him to 20 under through 54 holes.
The 21-year-old rookie leads Emiliano Grillo and Ben Kohles by three strokes entering Sunday's final round.
