Roman's appointment took effect immediately after his election at the board's June 22 meeting. The former 3M chairman and chief executive fills an open independent director seat.
Roman spent more than 35 years at 3M and became its chief executive in 2018 and chairman in 2019. He also serves on Abbott Laboratories' board.
