Vorster will make his LIV Golf debut for Southern Guards GC at JCB Golf & Country Club. Oosthuizen withdrew because of the back injury that also kept him out of The Open.
Vorster, ranked 584th in the world, won the Sunshine Tour's season-ending tournament in March and tied for second at the Swiss Challenge in June.
