Max Homa says he would have played the Scottish Open if he had known he was in The Open.

Homa said he learned Monday that his world ranking had moved him into The Open field after his solo second at the John Deere Classic. He is playing this week's ISCO Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, after committing before that news.

Homa finished 19 under at TPC Deere Run and has posted nine straight rounds in the 60s, including a final-round 64 last Sunday.
