George McNeill opens a two-shot U.S. Senior Open lead after a 66 at Scioto.

McNeill shot 66 at Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, to reach 6 under through 36 holes. Padraig Harrington was two shots back, with Miguel Angel Jimenez, Stewart Cink and Charlie Wi tied for third at 3 under.

Steven Alker missed the cut in a PGA Tour Champions major for the first time after rounds of 72 and 74. Mike Weir finished 7 over, one shot outside the weekend, while Davis Love III ended at 9 over.
