Patrick Rodgers withdraws from the John Deere Classic because of a back injury.

Patrick Rodgers withdrew from the John Deere Classic hours before his scheduled 11:50 a.m. ET first-round tee time at TPC Deere Run. The world No. 85 had been set for his first start since finishing 71st at the U.S. Open.

Austin Cook replaced Rodgers in the field and was assigned to play from the 10th tee with Dylan Wu and Takumi Kanaya. Nico Echavarria and Jhonattan Vegas also withdrew before the opening round.
