Spieth said his 2017 Open Championship win at Royal Birkdale came when he was playing his best golf. He last won on July 2, 2023, at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
In 17 starts this year, Spieth has eight top-25 finishes, including T12 at the Masters and T18 at the PGA Championship, but no top-10s. His last three starts were a missed cut, T56 and T66.
