Suber followed an opening 68 with seven birdies and no bogeys Friday at TPC Deere Run, moving up 33 spots and reaching the weekend four strokes behind the leader.
Suber said he is trying not to watch leaderboards after losing a one-shot 54-hole lead at the RBC Canadian Open. Since May, he has posted three top-25 finishes, including two top-fives.
