Preston Stout starts the John Deere Classic with a 66.

Preston Stout shot a 5-under 66 in the opening round at TPC Deere Run, leaving the NCAA champion three shots behind early leaders Lucas Glover and Zac Blair.

Stout made six birdies, including four in a row from Nos. 17 through 2, and posted his lowest PGA Tour round. His only bogey came after a drive found a fairway bunker on the fourth hole.
